How Do You Implement Purposeful Change?

The blog, “How Do You Implement Purposeful Change?” references the quote, “if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”. Auto-pilot change occurs on a daily basis in everything we do. Conscious change however, is purposeful. Real change is hard and most change is challenging. Challenging yourself is not always the easiest path to take, but it usually is pretty real. And real is honest, real is happy.

The Myth: It's Only a "Cat-fight"

The blog, “The Myth: It’s Only a Cat Fight” talks about rivalrous behaviors between women in a working setting and how it can completely disrupt an environment. There is a general awareness of rivalry between women, commonly, often jokingly, referred to as “cat-fights.” The term in itself, discredits the seriousness of the situation. It is a silent epidemic. Silent in the aspect that women who are recipients of this type of behavior often do not speak about their experience until it is behind them, or near to being over. Silent in the fact that there is often awareness by others about the behavior as it is occurring, but traditionally it is not overtly dealt with until after the fact, if ever. These so called cat fights are serious, they often are the result of indirect aggressive behaviors and can have a serious impact on the woman whom it is targeted toward.

I was. I did. I am.

The blog, “I Was, I Did, I Am” references Amber Tichenor’s, To Be Journey. She talks about battling corporate politics, fighting rivalry in the workplace, feeling trapped, and doing what was “expected.” At the same time, she was also feeling that she could do more with her life so she moved the obstacle and started “To Be, Coaching + Consulting.” Amber is a coach to high-performing business women embracing change and competition. She also speaks publicly on the topic rivalry and competition between women.
